Swirling Seas at Penmon Point Lighthouse

Swirling Seas at Penmon Point Lighthouse.

My friend, Andy and I had turned up to Penmon Point Lighthouse in order to try and capture some of the bioluminescence that occurs there sometimes. We knew it was going to be a gamble that we would get this because the factors like wind, temperature etc has to be right. also with the limited time we had, it was good to have a plan B.
So I decided to walk further along the shore for this composition to try and capture some wave movement with the lighthouse and Puffin Island on the horizon. For me, this was an enjoyable experience and I really love this location.

The sky was never going to be too spectacular, but we did get a bit of light now and again.

Towards the end of the evening we were treated to lovely colour, but we did decide to stay for a few hours in the hope that the bioluminescence did occur, but sadly that wasn’t to be. Never the less, getting out and doing a spot of landscape photography is always a pleasure.

I love getting out and about into the beautiful country side, planning my journeys to see these locations at their best.
Doing photography combines my need to be creative and I feel a tremendous amount of satisfaction when all the combinations come together andI have captured the feeling of the moment and created a lovely image.
