Porth Y Post

Just Toby and myself on this trip out this time. We were exploring all the bays in the Treaddur area and finally we settled on an old favourite at Porth Y Post. There was a slither of light, but nothing too exceptional and no highlights that caught the foreground. Again, no portfolio images, but that’s OK! You’ve got to be out there to get those portfolio images! Also, Toby was a terrific companion and had a great time running and exploring!

Whilst exploring the bay I did want to try and capture some wave action. Keeping an eye on Toby made this a little risky, so I settled for this quick image. I would have loved to have spent more time playing with slower exposures and tweaking the compositions. But Toby comes first and foremost as it was more of a Toby day than a photography day. He enjoyed himself, which put a smile on my face.

I love getting out and about into the beautiful country side, planning my journeys to see these locations at their best.
Doing photography combines my need to be creative and I feel a tremendous amount of satisfaction when all the combinations come together andI have captured the feeling of the moment and created a lovely image.
