Here Comes The Storm at Cable Bay

The weather forecast was supposed to a bit on the wild side with the approach of Storm Malik. I decided that Bev (fiancee), Toby (fury four legged water magnet) should head to the coast to try and get some stormy sea action. Whilst it was certainly wet and windy, dark and moody it wasn’t the dramatic seas I had hoped for, but it was still great to have play with some photography.

It was however a great opportunity to do some ICM (Intentional Camera Movement). Now and again it is quite nice to have a play with this technique with some atmospheric abstract results.

The one below was trying a horizontal blur which was quite effective. So if you see a strange landscape photographer performing strange body movements, they are not trying to do an exotic Dad dance but attempting some ICM.

I love getting out and about into the beautiful country side, planning my journeys to see these locations at their best.
Doing photography combines my need to be creative and I feel a tremendous amount of satisfaction when all the combinations come together andI have captured the feeling of the moment and created a lovely image.
