Porth Dafarch

Porth Dafarch, Anglesey

This was my first trip out, in about three months. I was going stare crazy and on the verge of becoming a homicidal maniac. Those in my social bubble were in very serious danger for their lives.
Therefore I was booted out on my own to find a bit of headspace. I ended up at Porth Dafarch, where to my pleasure and surprise, I had the place to myself.
After a couple of hours wandering blissfully along the coastal paths, I ended back on the beach in the bay. I set this composition up for a number of reasons. I liked the wet sand, rocks and seaweed in the foreground. The rock faces in the mid-ground with the Skerries in between. I spent a while waiting for the right light and I became very chilled and relaxed. I had become, almost sociable!

I love getting out and about into the beautiful country side, planning my journeys to see these locations at their best.
Doing photography combines my need to be creative and I feel a tremendous amount of satisfaction when all the combinations come together andI have captured the feeling of the moment and created a lovely image.
