Lockdown. A necessary evil in these current times and completely understandable.
My interpretation of the rules was that you could travel locally for exercise.
But to be safer than sorry, I decided on a sunrise shoot at a roadside location not far from where I live.
Like a corpse, only vaguely reanimated, I ventured out to a location that I pass everyday on my way into work. I had done my research and I was wanting to shoot these trees in mist. I was not disappointed. The above shot was shot later on, but I liked there character of the tree, the slight lifting of the mist to reveal that little bit of colour of the sunrise. The leading line of the wet boggy stream to the tree added a good leading line.
The above shot was more of the image I had in mind before I set off that morning. I had wanted the mist to provide a bit of separation from the background and the neighbouring tree. Also to capture the feel of the cold of that morning.
Back home shortly afterwards for a nice hot cup of coffee and a bacon butty.
