A Surprise View at Over Owler Tor

The unique boulders and rocks at Over Owler Tor

OK, I have a confession to make. I was inspired by an excellent Nigel Danson YouTube video to visit Over Owler Tor in the Peak District.
The Peak District is an area that I have not explored too much in the past but it is a location that I will definitely be returning to. The stunning and interesting rock formations and the views from the Tors are definitely worth exploring.
I was fortunate that when I was there I did get some stunning light. A great evening for photography and a wonderful place to visit.

The Over Toby Tor in The Peak District

It was never really meant to be a shot that was published, but as a warm up I decided to take the same composition that Nigel Danson had taken in his video. However, Toby decided to get in on the action and wonder what I was up to. He probably wanted a gravy bone, but he loved it up there and probably said “hello” to everyone that ventured up onto the Tor.

I love getting out and about into the beautiful country side, planning my journeys to see these locations at their best.
Doing photography combines my need to be creative and I feel a tremendous amount of satisfaction when all the combinations come together andI have captured the feeling of the moment and created a lovely image.
