Exploring St Cwyfan’s Church in the Sea & Aberffraw

St Cwyfan’s Church is a location I love exploring and returning to. On this occasion I went onto the little island with the church to see if there were any compositions I could find.

I noticed how lovely the sea pinks were looking, so Toby and myself explored looking for a composition that included them. It was earlier in the afternoon, so not great light, but still made for a lovely image.

During the golden hour I set myself up with with a shot that would include the changing colour of the sky. It was low tide so I decided to work with the seaweed as foreground interest as I do like the green.

Throughout the afternoon I wandered around the coastal path towards Aberffraw. I saw this very old winch that I though might make and interesting feature in the location that it was in. Obviously I also tried to include the sea pinks, which I do like including in some of my coastal shots.

It was another lovely trip out made complete and perfect with the company of Toby.

I love getting out and about into the beautiful country side, planning my journeys to see these locations at their best.
Doing photography combines my need to be creative and I feel a tremendous amount of satisfaction when all the combinations come together andI have captured the feeling of the moment and created a lovely image.
